RANDOM CLOWNS EDITION

This edition is dedicated to the clowns and the people who love them!

Public Service Announcement:

This a not a test, this is an actual emergency!

Missing: One Gold platted casket. Last seen at the Staple Center in Los Angeles California. Has not been seen or heard from since Tuesday. Owner needs to be buried so that millions of people can get back to their lives and maybe even start looking for work. If seen, please bury IMMEDIATELY! Please mark spot where buried so family can charge public for the right to worship at the site.

Where in the world is Matt Lauer?

Each year, NBC on their morning show called TODAY runs a segment called "Where in the world is Matt Lauer." Matt flys all over the world giving clues of where he is. A cheesy take off of the children's game, "Where's Waldo." A new version is now out and it's called simply, "Where's Michael and who cares?" You get a map of California and you guess where Michael Jackson's body is.

Can we please just bury the guy? Bury the guy, set up the fences and admission booths and let the morons spend their money to cry at his grave site. Set up the booths with dolls, shirts, books, posters and mouse pads and get on with it. Just bury the guy and put us all out of our misery!

From the LA Times: "Michael Jackson is being buried in a $25,000 Gold plated casket, the same one used by his idol James Brown."

What, James isn't using it anymore?

As if this hasn't been weird all ready. There was a report about MJ beloved chimp "Bubbles." You remember Bubbles? Well, apparently Bubbles got to be too freaking big for MJ to handle, so he sent her/him/it to a preserve in Florida. I know this because I saw a five minute segment on CNN. Anyway, Bubbles has been living there for 26 years and hasn't seen MJ in years. That's not the weird part! They are not going to tell Bubbles that MJ has died because Bubbles as noted hasn't seen MJ in years and they don't want to bring back any sad memories for the chimp! Oh NO! Not Chimp Abuse too!

Has anyone found that casket yet? PLEASE FIND IT.

Nice to see Magic Johnson again. Wasn't he suppose to die like 20 years ago with aids? He is magic! It's a medical miracle! Why aren't we like cloning his DNA and injecting it into people with aids? He's a walking, talking, breathing testament to medical science!

Again, the casket was last seen heading NORTH on the 101. It needs to be found! Why hasn't a missing person report been filed? We need to end this! For the sake of humanity, please find this body and bury it.

We now return you to normal programing.

Robert McNamara, Architect of Vietnam War, Dies at 93

Former Defense Secretary Robert McNamara died suddenly and unexpectedly this morning in his Washington D.C. home, he was 93. (Sorry, I couldn't resist)

McNamara was the "architect" of the Vietnam war. As Defense Sec. he mobilized troops under Kennedy and then ramped up the volume under Johnson.

A lot could be said at this point, references made to why we went there

and the cost of fighting a war that we went into with the intention of never winning. As a member of the armed forces sent there as part of the "see the world" promotional campaign, I saw first hand how this war was mishandled and subsequently given away. Robert McNamara was responsible for the deaths of over 57,000 American lives. It wasn't Nixon's war as many people are wrongly led to believe, it wasn't even Johnson's war. It belonged to Robert McNamara.

Mr. McNamara was one of the "best and the brightest" chosen by JFK to be the Sec of Defense. He has run the Ford Motor Company and the World Bank. He was the best this country had to offer. He failed miserably at his biggest task.

I read that in the final years of his life Johnson basically went nuts and lost reality. He would hold "Cabinet" meetings with his immigrant staff going over details of what chicken was producing the most eggs and what was the status of the "perimeter" of the ranch (fence posts). The war has caused him to "change" his thinking was different, his appearance was different and his outlook was different.

At one point Mr. McNamara was vilified over his remaining years for his actions. I have read that the "demons" spent many years haunting the man as well and if that is true, then he had paid the price and what's left is between him and his God.

We don't wish him any animosity or any further harm. What is done is done. Robert McNamara may you rest in peace.

Don't shoot your wad just yet Johnny!

Johnny is all a "twitter" because Sarah Palin is stepping down. He keeps intimating that she's the source of a federal investigation (Johnny got from that from the pillar of American news reporting MSNBC) and is just creaming himself praying that the Feds are going to bring Sarah down. Johnny attempted to make his monkey crap stick to the wall by saying again, for the umpteenth time that Palin was having an affair with her husband's business partner.

But wait.......from the "Huffy-puffy post":There is absolutely no truth to those rumors that we're investigating her or getting ready to indict her," Special Agent Eric Gonzalez said in a phone interview Saturday. "It's just not true." He added that there was "no wiggle room" in his comments for any kind of inquiry.

Soooooooooo kiddos, no investigation from the FEDS?

Maybe she is planning a run for the presidency in 2012. Who knows? Maybe she is sick of the media and jag offs like Johnny making fun of her children, especially a baby with Downs Syndrome. Maybe she wants to make some money in the private sector before she becomes President? I have no idea.

I would be shocked and disappointed if any of Johnny's rumors turned out to be true.

I intentionally waited to post this. Unlike Johnny and the rest of the liberals, the ONLY post I wanted on this blog on July 4th was one that promoted this country and honored our forefathers.

You will notice that Johnny and other libs mention nothing about the founding of this country, the sacrifices made by our founders and the efforts of our troops. They don't care. To them the 4th of July is just another day.

See, it was more important for Johnny to write about Sarah Palin than to write about the goodness this country offers and freedoms we enjoy. It isn't in them to point out that this is a great country, that even with it's faults, is still where others around the world risk everything to come to her shores to share in the wealth, prosperity and freedoms.

Don'y shoot that wad yet Johnny, you might be making a big mess for nothing.

Editor's Note. I thought long and hard of what to say for the celebration of our nation's birth. There was so much I wanted to say, so much that needs to be said. In the end, I settled on not an original writing, but one written from the heart and with a great message. Glenn Beck penned the following and I really don't think he would mind me sharing this with you.

Here it is, another Fourth of July. Traditionally, this is a day to gather with friends, maybe fire up the barbeque and play with kids until the sun sets and the fireworks start. But in thinking back on the meaning behind this day, we must never forget that our nation was baptized in the blaze of a very different kind of "fireworks." Yes, this is a day of rest and relaxation, as well it should be, but this year…I'd like to ask you a favor. At some point during the day, I hope you'll take time to think and reflect on what it is we're truly celebrating on the 4th of July -- our Independence Day. Of course the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4th, 1776 but it's so much more than that. On this day, 233 short years ago, a small group of men dedicated themselves to a higher purpose, an ideal they believed in so greatly, they signed their name to its expression and in doing so put their very lives at risk.

Never has a simple act of signing one's name carried such weight, such a profound commitment. By signing the Declaration of Independence, 56 men stood in direct defiance of the British government. They became marked men, and willingly so. As I was doing some research on the significance of July 4
th, I came across some interesting facts about these men. Today as we all enjoy the freedom our forefathers guaranteed us, join me in honoring the extraordinary sacrifice of 56 extraordinary Americans.

Of the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence:

Five were captured by the British as traitors, and tortured before they died. Twelve had their homes burned to the ground. Two lost sons serving in the Revolutionary Army, and two more had sons captured. Nine fought and died in the Revolutionary War.

f you ever feel like your lone voice can never be heard, that the political system isn't set up for "regular" Americans to change the course of history, remember: The signers were flesh and blood, mortal men with a divinely-inspired aim.

Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists, eleven were merchants, and nine were farmers and large plantation owners. They were well educated, smart enough to know that by signing the Declaration of Independence, they were signing their own death warrants. They did it anyway, and God bless them for it.

As we enjoy our liberty on this 4
th of July, or any day of any month, we must never take that liberty for granted. Too many have given too much. In the words of the Signers themselves, "For the support of this declaration, with firm reliance on the protection of the divine providence, we mutually pledge to each other, our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor."

Their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor -- I think that's a price paid worth a few minutes of reflection, don't you? But let's not be solemn in that reflection. I say rejoice and share this information with your friends and family, especially your kids. The Signers asked for nothing in return for their pledge, but I say that we show our thanks with a pledge of our own: To remember, to be grateful, and to carry on in their spirit. America is the greatest country this world has ever and will ever know, and it will stay that way so long as "we the people" remember that just like in 1776.

It's US that surrounds them, and we'll never back down.

Happy Independence Day, and God bless America.

Glenn

Editor's note: May you have a safe and healthy holiday. I would also hope that you think about and remember the real meaning of this holiday. It is more than hot dogs and fireworks. We also should each and every day and especially on this holiday, pray for our servicemen and women all over the world. In war zones and non-war zones, at sea or in a friendly foreign country at home or in training. They are protecting YOUR freedom and preserving our way of life.

America's Pitchman Billy Mays 1958-2009

This is where our society has brought us. On the porch of the funeral home there was a sign NO CELL PHONES, NO CAMERAS PLEASE.

What have we come to? The fact that someone would even have to post a sign like that tells us that we are not the respectful and dignified society we once were. It tells us that some people would go to a funeral home, take a picture and then post it either on the Internet or worse, sell it to a supermarket tabloid. We have lost our innocence and have fallen into the den of inequity, where we are crass and rude and mostly disrespectful.

We buried the King of the Pitchmen today. It was a sad. A man who died at the pinnacle of his career and at too young an age. Billy came home to be buried because he never forgot where he came from.

This is not so much about Billy, but about his home, he foundation, his development. McKees Rocks can be a tough place to grow up in. I know people who didn't want to go to the funeral home because "that's a rough neighborhood." The "Rocks" can be a rough place. I grew up not far from there so my friends and I would often spend a Friday or Saturday night mixing with the locals. We got into our share of "scuffles" there and to be honest, it gave us a boatload of stories. It's a place that can rival Bloomfield for the most "wife beater" T-shirts per square mile. It can be a rough as Hell's Kitchen in New York. It's had it's share of problems over the years.

But it's a place where you learn loyalty. You know immediately you are not from around there and so do they. People there don't like outsiders here. They will treat you with respect, but they are more loyal to and are very protective of their own. They are good people. They teach their kids values and respect. They remember you and if you are one of them, they will stand by you to the end. If you are a real friend of one of their own, they will treat you as if you were raised there. I still go to Mancini's Bakery which is open 24 hours a day and no matter what time I roll up there, I am greeted with great people, hard working and dedicated .

That's were Billy grew up. Billy always remembered that. As I waited in line Thursday I listened to the the locals tell their Billy stories. I didn't talk or ask questions, I just listened. Some recognized me and wanted to tell me more stories about "their" Billy. I listened. I had already liked Billy, but this just solidified my opinion of him.

I wouldn't walk across the street to see a celebrity. I'd walk a hundred miles to see Billy Mays.

By the time I reached the coffin to pay my respect, I had heard many great stories about Billy. I was talking with his son Billy Mays III when the emotions caught up with me. "Little" Billy is just like his father, kind, devoted and generous.

I was able to spend some time with Billy's friend and partner Anthony Sullivan. He recounted to me how he met Billy 15 years ago, right here in Pittsburgh. He talked about how good this town was to Billy and how much his home town meant to him. For all the fame, fortune and acclaim Billy earned, he still loved Pittsburgh and McKees Rocks. Billy bled black and gold and was loyal to his sports teams. Just because he moved away didn't mean he didn't remember his home town.

The funeral wasn't much better for me, but I found comfort in the stories about Billy and in the Mass itself. All the locals were there again to say their goodbyes to Billy. Billy was loyal to them, he never forgot where he came from and he was always there for them. They were there for him and they will always be there for Billy. He was one of them.

That's the good side of this country. The "Rocks" are just like any other small town in this country. They look out for their loyal sons. They remember and they are there to the end.

Goodbye Billy, you will be missed.

Dude! Where's My Job? You Lied To Me Dude!

OK, so let me get this straight. BHO said that if the stimulus package wasn't passed, unemployment would reach 10%. If it WERE passed, unemployment would level off at 8.5%.

The stimulus package was passed and today unemployment reached a 26 year high at 9.5% AND it's expected to reach 10% within the next month.

This is BHO's and the democrat's 9.5% unemployment rate. BHO owns it, he bought it with his stimulus package. You can't blame Bush, you can't blame the GOP, you can only blame Queen Nancy and BHO.

They had help. Barney Frank lent a big hand two years ago when he opposed Bush's plan for reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Chris Dodd helped too when he worked his magic with the lending system. Of course, we are still waiting to see his loan records that prove he didn't get a sweetheart deal. We've been waiting for over 10 months so far.

So today, the biggest job buster in the senate, Dodd, along with Ted Let's go for a ride Kennedy introduced their health care proposal which will make every employer with 25 employees or more purchase their health care. If they don't, they will be fined $750 per employee.

Isn't it funny that two of the main causes for the downfall of the lending system are now setting their sights on health care? Well, not funny in a "ha ha" sense, funny in the sense of "this clown taste funny."

BHO keeps saying that it's going to take more time to get out of this. Sir, you have all the time you need, right up to 01-20-13.

That journalist powerhouse the Washington Post got it self into a sticky situation. Looks like they were trying to "sell" access to their "journalist" and members of BHO's administration. For the mere Price of $25-250,000 you could have dinner with the Managing Editor, selected journalist and cozy up to members of the administration! Such a deal. But wait, there's more, you can lobby until your heart's content!

The Washington Post is NOT the journalist giant you may think it is. Same with the New York Times. Sadly, they have become just another mouth piece for the liberals and not an "unbiased" reporter of the news. They haven't been unbiased for years and because of that, they are loosing readership and relevance. Soon, they will be available online only and if they don't clean up their act, they will be gone.

The Girl From Ipanema Random Thoughts Addition

Tall and tan and young and lovely
The girl from ipanema goes walking
And when she passes, each one she passes goes - ah

Will South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford just go away? Outside of Wacko Jacko, I can think of no more of a NON story than Sanford and the girl from Inpanema. Who cares? The guy is a lame duck, he should resign, the Lt. Governor wants him to resign so he can have the upper hand for the primaries, but the guy is not going anywhere. He is now irrelevant and no longer a 2012 contender.

Vanity Fair (need I say more) has done a hatchet job on Sarah Palin. The libs must think she's a bona fide contender because they are doing everything they can to discredit her.

BHO is now starting to slip in the polls. When you lied to the American people as much as he did during the election, you knew it was going to come back and bite him in the proverbial butt. Taxes are going to be going up for the "middle class" the one's that BHO lied to so much during the election. With the massive cost of the stimulus package, the loss of jobs that the Cap & Tax bill is going to create, the bailout of GM, Chrysler, AIG and numerous banks, the forcing of other banks to take stimulus money AND another stimulus package on the way, there is no way BHO cannot raise taxes. Screw people with their money and their jobs and you're a one termer and YOUR congress is going with you.

The problems for the Republican party is they are not united and they have no voice. They have less than a year to get their act together for the 2010 Mid-term elections. There is no clear voice for the party, no one who has effectively connected with the people and laid out their agenda. Who that voice is going to be is anyone's guess. It may not even be one of the "front-runners" of today, it may be someone who has yet to emerge.

Although most political "experts" have written the GOP off, that may not be the case if BHO's numbers continue to fall. The numbers for the Congress and "Queen Nancy" are already in the toilet and if the dissatisfaction with BHO continues AND the GOP get their act together, it might be another devastating time for the democrats. Do you really think the dems are going to do the right thing for the American people with the power they now have? History tells us that the dems will implode big time.....it is just a matter of time.

Get ready to have Wacko Jacko shoved down your throat for the 4th of July! The circus moves to Neverland Ranch on Thursday, with all reports showing the weekend filled with Jacko "lying in state." for the throngs to come and genuflect before the body. All Wacko, ALL the time. Just makes you think where we are headed and what is important to us as a country.

Dan Rooney picked up his thirty piece of silver today, being sworn in as the ambassador to Ireland. Rooney a "staunch" Catholic proved to be just a "Cafeteria Catholic" choosing what Church dogma to follow and what dogma not to follow. Mr. Rooney had every right to vote for whoever he wanted to and whoever he felt was best for the country, that point is not argued. What is argued is when he publicly endorsed BHO and then made statements alluding to the fact he spoke with several clergy and they told him it was alright. I would love to know what clergy would advise him it was alright to go against the teaching of the church. Again, if you want to be Catholic, then you follow the tenets of the Church, otherwise, pick a church that has the values you believe in. Enjoy your time in Ireland Dan, you earned it.
