sacrifice: • an act of giving up something valued for the sake of something else regarded as more important or worthy : we must all be prepared to make sacrifices.

Normally I stay away from a politician's spouse. Usually the spouse has nothing to do with the running of the government and whatever "pillow talk" they may or may not have is between them. It's only when the spouse says or does something outlandish do I even mention it.
Take Michelle Obama. (BHOW=BHO's Wife) Please!
I did not pile on when she made her now famous "For the first time in my life I am proud to be an American" statement.
Not today.
From the wire services:
In her speech in Copenhagen today, First Lady Michelle Obama said her trip to Denmark, along with the travel of her "dear friend" and "chit-chat buddy" Oprah Winfrey, as well as tomorrow's visit by President Obama, is a "sacrifice" on behalf of the children of Chicago and the United States. "As much of a sacrifice as people say this is for me or Oprah or the president to come for these few days," the first lady told a crowd of people involved in the Chicago project, "so many of you in this room have been working for years to bring this bid home."
SACRIFICE?
Really?
SACRIFICE?

Where is this friggin SACRIFICE you are talking about?
Now BHO is flying over there on his own plane a 747. But here's the real breakdown. Whenever the President flies anywhere (and this is ANY President) a back-up 747 flies with him. Then there is the cargo planes that carry the armored cars and the Secret Service vehicles. Then the jet fuel must be purchased, tested, locked and tagged at the host country, an advance team has to precede the POTUS (President of the United States for yinz in McKeesport) and a whole host of other military and security planes and personnel.

Now I am NOT going to comment on the trip itself. The fact that BHO will only be there for a little over four hours, the cost surrounding the trip, in terms of the planes, security, fuel etc. I am not even going to say anything about him going there to pitch the Olympic Games for Chicago (his home town) while others are complaining he's skipping out on work. I just want to know what SACRIFICE he and the FLOTUUS (First Lady Of The United States) are making?
Servicemen and women fighting for our cause is a SACRIFICE.
Working two jobs so your children can go to a better school is a SACRIFICE.
Michelle, babe, listen, You don't know what SACRIFICE is!
Either that or you need to get a new speechwriter.
Watching Oprah chow down on that Hardies burger while being forced to read one her book club selections would be a real sacrifice.
