It's Not Personal, It's Just Business

There's a great line from my favorite movie the GODFATHER. Tessio, who was played by Abe Vigoda, is about to be taken for his last ride after he was found out to have betrayed Michael Corleone (the Godfather). Abe Vigoda says to Tom Hayden "Tell Mike it was only business. I always liked him."

It's the same with BHO. It's nothing personal, Americans are just realizing that they don't like his politics.

I m so sick of hearing the liberals whine that the American citizens who are protesting at these town hall meetings are idiots.

40% of the electorate Love BHO and 40% don't. I've got news for you. No one cares about that 80%. What they care about is the 20% who aren't aligned with a particular party, or who (and pardon the pun) swing both ways, sometimes voting democrat, sometimes voting Republican.
It is this 20% that every Presidential candidate is speaking to. When BHO gives a speech, he doesn't care about his base, he knows they are with him and he doesn't care about the opposition, because he knows they aren't with him. He is talking to the 20% who can go either way.

That's why it is so critical to note that in the latest poll, BHO has lost almost 1/3 of the "independent" voters, most of which voted for him in 2008. If he looses much more of these voters he knows they're gone and he'll never get them back and he won't get a second term. His original message of change and hope has been parlayed into legislation now and a lot of people including the "independents" aren't too happy, which could translate into a rotten summer and snowball into a rotten Mid-Term election for BHO.

So, how's that Change and Hope working out for you?

This corespondent would be remiss if he didn't take a few minutes to note with sadness the passing of Eunice Kennedy Shriver.

Much has been written about this wonderful lady who did so much for others, that anything I could add would only be trivial. She suffered through the tragedies of three of her brothers dying, two by an assassin's bullet, a sister who was mentally disabled and the loss of several of her sibling's children. Through it all she dedicated her life to helping others, including the life of the unborn and Special Olympians.

Eunice Kennedy Shriver was a special lady and she will be genuinely missed. May the love of God keep her in his fold and comfort her family through this time of grief.
