George Bush was a Cowboy, a disgrace to the United States. The world hates us because of him. European leaders think he's an idiot. We need someone who the rest of the world will respect, someone who will repair the relations severed by George Bush's actions!
For eight years we heard that. For eight years and two elections we heard how we need someone, someone like John Kerry or BHO who will repair the relationships with the European leaders that evil George Bush wrecked.
So, um, How's that working out for you?
In case you haven't heard, BHO has scrapped plans to build a missile defense system in Poland and the Czech Republic. Poland is saying the "US sold us out" and the Czech's are singing from the same hymnal. BHO says there are better systems out there and the United States is going a different route.
What that route is has yet to be determined. For the near future (and further down the road) the United States will protect Europe using the Navy's defense systems onboard ships now deployed in the Med. (That's the Mediterranean Ocean for those of you in McKeesport PA)
I have all the faith in the world in our Navy. It holds a deep and special place in my heart, having served our great country as a Naval Petty Officer, but to base the whole defense of one continent on a couple of ships is beyond me.
Make no mistake about this, the French are nervous as are the Germans. Italy and Spain are not sleeping well and neither is the rest of Eastern Europe. One day after BHO made his announcement, another announcement came out that Iran "probably" already has a nuclear weapon. Makes me want to go out and book that European vacation tomorrow.
Vladimir Putin is a happy guy. He finally has a US President who will follow his orders. See the Russians have deals in place with Iran and now that great comic in Venezuela Hugo the great. He supplies the technology for the nukes and they supply him with the oil he needs to keep his Zils running through the streets of Moscow.
Oh and for those of you who think the former head of the KGB is not the one really running the show in Russia, I have this bridge in Brooklyn and some prime swamp land in Florida I'd like to talk to you about. Make no mistake. Vladimir is the straw that stirs the drink in Russia. (Sorry Reggie)
Putin was furious with Bush for first coming up with the idea of the missile defense system for Eastern Europe and then for not backing down when Putin demanded that the idea be scrapped.
See Vladimir is use to getting his way and old "W" was not buying it, even though he looked deeply into those beautiful eyes of Putin and said he could see into his soul.
So let's review what we learned. Israel will probably have to go it alone against Iran and if they fail, Eastern and Central Europe will probably have to pay part of the price. Remember Mahmound I'm-a-nut-job's threat to Europe as well as Israel?
Do you really think the leaders of Europe have the same amount of respect for BHO as they did Bush?
So I'll ask again?
